Business Development Manager

OEMs & Manufacturers

Location: West Yorkshire
Type: Full-time
Salary: £55k-£60k
Sector: OEMs & Manufacturers

About the Role

We're working with a global healthcare technology business to find a Business Development Manager with Key Account Management responsibilities to take ownership of a high-potential territory across the North East of England.

This is a role for someone who gets their energy from prospecting, uncovering opportunities and opening new accounts, not simply managing what already exists. Around 80% of your time will be spent generating new business and building pipeline, with the remaining 20% focused on strengthening existing customer relationships.

You'll be selling a digital radiology portfolio into NHS and private healthcare providers, leading commercial conversations that challenge conventional thinking and deliver real value.

Radiology or medical imaging experience would be welcomed, but we're equally keen to hear from high-performing capital equipment sales professionals looking to move into the imaging sector. You'll join an experienced and supportive UK team, working with market-leading technology that is transforming radiology services and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive growth of a digital radiology portfolio across the North East
  • Build deep relationships with key stakeholders across NHS and private healthcare providers
  • Map customer organisations to identify decision-makers, influencers and new opportunities
  • Develop strategic account plans to increase market penetration and customer intimacy
  • Lead commercially focused, value-based conversations that challenge existing thinking
  • Create and maintain a healthy pipeline that consistently delivers against territory objectives
  • Grow and strengthen relationships with existing customers

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record in sales, business development or account management within healthcare, medical technology, imaging, diagnostics or capital equipment
  • Demonstrable success selling capital equipment and high-value solutions through long, complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
  • Understanding of NHS procurement processes (ideal)
  • Experience in medical imaging, radiology or diagnostic imaging (desirable, not essential)
  • Strong stakeholder mapping skills and the ability to navigate complex customer environments
  • A challenger mindset and confidence leading value-based customer conversations
  • Naturally curious, proactive and self-motivated
  • Based in or close to Leeds, ideally with strong local market knowledge
